SHOCKING: Woman found alive after banging on coffin at her funeral, dies hours later (Video)

Woman thought to be dead started banging on the lid of the coffin during her funeral procession only to die hours later.

A WOMAN presumed dead was rushed to hospital after knocking on her coffin at her own funeral in front of stunned mourners.

According to a report on the Daily Mail, the relatives of Rosa Isabel Cespede Callaca, 36, heard noise from her coffin at the funeral service in the city of Lambayque last week.

They discovered that Rosa, who was declared dead after a fatal car crash, was actually alive.

“She opened her eyes and was sweating. I immediately went to my office and called the police,” a cemetery caretaker was quoted as saying.

In a video that is circulating online, the family of the woman can be seen picking up the coffin.

They took the coffin, with Rosa still inside, to the Referential Hospital Ferrenafe in Lambayeque where she was quickly put on life support.

Doctors said that Rosa’s condition improved slightly after she was put on life support.

However, just hours later, Rosa passed away after her condition deteriorated rapidly.

According to reports, Rosa was involved in a serious car crash which also claimed the life of her brother-in-law and seriously injured her nephews.

Following the incident, Rosa’s relatives lashed out at the hospital for declaring her dead and sending her to the morgue.

“Police in Peru are now investigating whether staff at the hospital negligently took Rosa off life support, pronounced her dead and sent her to the morgue without proper review to check that she was actually dead,” the Daily Mail report said.
